Behnood Yakhchali is an Iranian film composer whose work spans cinema, television, theater, video games, and digital media. With a background in classical piano and a passion for reimagining repertoire, he blends emotional depth with narrative precision in his scores. Since 2001, he has composed for both Iranian productions and international broadcasters such as ZDF, ARTE, and Al Jazeera. In 2012, he founded Ropotronic, a flexible ensemble performing rock, pop, jazz, classical, and film music. His style resists categorization, rooted in classical structure yet open to electronic and contemporary forms. Described as minimal, resonant, and sincere, his music seeks only one goal: to serve the story and move the listener.
